At the March Letter Social, we had a brief lesson on the Banner Alphabet by Janet Faught. Janet Faught is a Utah Calligraphy Artist and is a knowledgeable teacher that teaches community and private calligraphy classes and so much more. You can follow Janet’s IG at
As a regular ACS Letter Social participant, we have all been delighted to occasionally receive one of Janet’s letters always embellished with a fun script or delightful artwork. The Banner alphabet is pretty flexible and great to fancy-up an envelope. No special pen or ink necessary, just a single point pen or pencil.
Before we start our letter writing, everyone gets a chance to share some writing tricks, gear finds, and special news. Here is some info shared:
- Lisa shared info about the rollerball pen: Monteverde Engage ( rollerball that uses FP ink ) was a good price from Pen Savings. Nice material too.
- Peggy shared an alternative pen at a lower price: J HERBIN. https://www.amazon.com/dp/
