Down the Rabbit Hole is a small retail project created to support the mission of the Arizona Correspondence Society.
Our collection includes writing supplies, stationery, vintage treasures, handmade paper goods, fountain pens, glass dip pens, ink samples, postcards, envelopes, stamps, writing candles, bookmarks, desk accessories, and other unexpected finds for people who enjoy the art of handwritten correspondence.
Some items are handmade. Some are vintage. Some are repurposed, rescued, or simply too delightful to leave behind. Every item is selected with the writing life in mind.

Community Letter Socials
The Arizona Correspondence Society hosts in-person and online letter socials where people can gather, slow down, and spend time writing letters, postcards, and notes.
These events give participants a welcoming place to connect with others, use writing supplies, exchange ideas, and rediscover the pleasure of sending meaningful mail.
Letter socials are open to experienced letter writers as well as people who have not written a personal letter in years. There is no need to have perfect handwriting or expensive supplies. All that is needed is a willingness to sit down, put pen to paper, and reach out to someone.
Sales from Down the Rabbit Hole help offset the costs of meeting spaces, supplies, postage, event materials, online programs, and other expenses associated with keeping community letter socials accessible.
Outreach to Children
Purchases also support educational outreach that introduces children to letter writing, postcards, stamps, mail art, and the history of the United States Postal Service.
Through hands-on activities, children can learn how to address an envelope, write a friendly letter, create a postcard, and understand how mail travels from one person to another.

By reusing, repurposing, and sharing these objects, we encourage creativity while reducing waste and preserving pieces of everyday history.
